Intercultural





This is a picture of a flag. It denotes a particular country


The principle of design- harmony, as the colours do relate. Balance- the shapes are equally same in each level of the flag drawing.


The element of design-Line, is equally balanced in the flag. Colour- creates a tone which has an effect to the flag, and each colour has a particular meaning to the country itself.




A picture of a lamp used by the Indian community for their festivals.


The principle of design- Balance, the leaves as a large shapes has created an effect which influences the oil lamp in the middle.


The element of design- Line, the lines created by the pen has created an effect on how the picture has its own meaning. Shape- the shapes of the leaves has a stand out in bringing out the picture of the lamp.



These are the costumes which denotes three races which are, Malay, Chinese and Indian


The principles of design- Harmony, the drawing creates an harmonious effect as it has adjacent colours and the combination of related elements are seen.


The elements of design- Texture- the drawing has a smooth texture which symbolises the particular race.
Colour- the colours used on the drawings are are cool and warm colours.




Each colour represent each intercultural diversity.

The principles of design-Repetition, the pencil has created a continuous repeated effect to emphasis on the main pictures it symbolizes.


The elements of design-Line, the edges of the art work has created a proper balance in the straight lines presented i the picture. Colour, all colour are used to create a interesting effect on the piece of art.

The principles of design- Contrast, constrasting colours are used to make the picture appear interesting.
Harmony, the pictures shows a high energy level in each sizes.

The elements of design- Tone, used dark and light colours to give a specific effect.
Shape- the shapes of each drawing is clear and has a different meaning.








Each book has a different story, every culture has an interesting story.


The principles of design- Repetition, the drawings of the books are repeated ( shapes and sizes).
Harmony- harmonious view point is owned is the drawings of the books.


The elements of design- Lines- the lines created at the edge of the book denotes the point where it actually contacts with the books below. Size- the picture shows that the size of the book has an effect in making the picture interesting.






Flowers, representing the emotions and cultural background


The principles of design- Unity, the various elements that brings out the flower symbolizes unity in the picture.

 The elements of design- Space, the space among the various designs of the picture has a special symbol towards the flower. Colour, the colour used for the background images has also created a warm effect to the flower in the middle.







A dove symbolizes peace.

The principle of design- Balance, the dove largely at the center shows a balance in the drawing and the pictures shows a strong meaning. Dominance, the dove is drew in a way that it has full dominance on the picture.

The elements of design- Size, the drawing of the dove in the center is large and has captured the attention of the viewer. The size plays an important role on defining the meaning of the whole picture.






Butterflies symbolizes freedom and it is referred to the beginning of a new life.


The principles of design- Harmony, the picture has a harmonious effect as it has different tones of colour and sizes which pictures a balance number of meanings. Dominance, the emphasis of butterfly in the picture has created an effect that has a bigger view on what the picture is trying to capture.

The elements of design- Size, the different sizes of the butterflies pictured has a balance view on the main idea that is trying to work around it. Colour- the colour used are also a combination of both warm and cool as it will create a effect that is big and attention grabbing.

The principles of design- Unity, the people standing on the globe represents unity and the drawing stresses more on it. Dominance, the picture in the center also shows dominance of a particular people on the whole globe.


The elements of design- Value, the tone used in this drawing is different as the the humans on the globe are rather different coloured.


 

All races as one peaceful nation.

The principles of design-Repetition, the human like figure shows a difference in a way it is repeated as to the different races of humans on top of the globe. Harmony, the nations on the globe has shown a harmonious effect towads the drawing.


The elements of design-Size, the drawing has almost the similar sizes in the way the human are portrait ed and the moderate size uesd for the globe.
